About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

Anything else?

I am very unhappy with my appointment & treatment. I have Bronchiectasis & it was my first appt for over year, because i had been caring for my partener whose appt came first, he died in Sept.I have been unwell for a week so hoped I would get help from my appt! I did not see my consultant, I saw Dr who said she was a registrar? I told her how ill I was feeling & felt I had chest infection, I know when I have as had several before. She listened to my lungs over my clothing & remarked about heart problem. I am very hard of hearing total deaf in one ear so did,nt hear her clearly. She then gave me paperwork to have x.ray & blood test. I think she said I would get appt in post to have heart check? I also asked @ reception if I was meant to go back to see her after x.ray, but they said I did,nt. I left hospital very confused as I felt so ill with breathing problems. The next day I went to see my G.P because was getting worse, I was told I had chest infection & given antibiotics. I know when I have pneumonia & over the weekend got worse in fact worse than when hospitalised in past. I felt too ill to go back to hospital & hoped the antibiotics would help when they started to work. If I had been given treatment @ hospital by a specialist in respiratory medicine maybe I would,nt have got so bad? I still have most of symptoms & going back to GP today. I am so angry, pneumonia can kill me if not treated soon enough! Results of x.ray & blood test are not yet with my GP. I will be following this up if & when I get well enough!
