Anything else?
I was greeted with a " Sleep Study " comment as I stood at the reception, my backpack gave it away. I was taken through to the main hospital and given clear and concise directions to my ward. There, I was asked to take a seat until I was shown to my room.
The nurse who dealt with me, ( unfortunately I didn't get her name ) was friendly and cheerful and put me at ease. She showed me my private bathroom, explained the procedure, filled out some questionairres, got me to take two swabs and then brought me a cup of tea whilst I got ready for bed.
When she returned, I'd filled out my patient questionairre and was in bed waiting to get wired up. She talked to me about herself whilst also explaining how to detach myself if I needed to get out of bed. Then it was lights out and try to get to sleep.
In the morning, I called the nurse and said I wouldn't be sleeping any longer. I was surprised to find it was 7am. After I was unplugged from my monitor, I filled out my post sleep questionairre whilst having a morning cup of tea. Having got washed and dressed, I informed the "desk" that I was leaving and to please thank the nurse who dealt with me.
I cannot thank everyone enough for making my stay a pleasant one.
