Attended as an emergency patient to Stepping Hil Hospital in Stockport one evening following a GP referral and after severe abdominal pain. Admitted via A&E, was relatively quickly triaged and seen by a lovely junior doctor initially. Then provided a cup of tea in a quite waiting area, whilst a consultant surgeon then was called for. Only had to wait around 15 mins beofre being examined and then moved by a friendly porter to the surgical assessment unit. After and precautionally overnight stay where I was regular checked, all appeared fine the following day and I was discharged.
I can only thank many members of the A&E and surgical assessment team for thier kind work, patience and understanding, what a lovely experience, although one I would not choose, it certainly made me realise the fantastic level of care provided at Stepping Hill Hospital.
"Excellent care"
