My husband suffered chest pain recently and he had the choice (due to where we live) to go to the Royal United in Bath or the Great Western. We chose GWH and are glad we did so. From the begining, staff were caring and gave us enough information to know what would happen and how long treatment was likely to take.

We found staff to be friendly,professional and efficient. The department was busy that night but it was well organised and importantyly clean. Despite being admitted late in the evening, my husband was seen quickly and released within 3 hours.
