Anything else?
My husband was sent to this hospital by the out of hours doctor after breathing difficulties. The ambulance staff were wonderful. Upon arriving at hospital at around 10.30pm my husband was placed on a trolley and that is where he remained - in a corridor- until around 3am. The doctor who assessed him admitted him overnight to keep an eye on his breathing, which by now was much better. I left as I presumed he was going to be transferred to a bed. 'He went for a chest xray and then asked to be taken to the toilet so was transferred to a wheelchair and was left in this for around two hours again in a side room and as he was very very uncomfortable decided to try and transfer to a chair and luckily was helped by other patients and there he remained until I picked him up at 11am. This treatment is disgusting as my husband has had a bad stroke and is paralysed down his left side and cannot move unaided and has problems sitting for any length of time. This should be looked into and addressed, but no doubt it will be ignored. I hate to think what would have happened if he had fallen.
