From the moment I was admitted to the A&E department on a Saturday night I was given excellent care and attention until tI was discharged. I had a persistent nosebleed which had lasted for many hours and it was difficult to stop because of the anti-coagulant drugs I have to take.
Initial treatment was not totally effective and the doctor called for a specialised colleague. The first doctor explained fully what he was doing and why. He was most kind, competent and reassuring. The second doctor from the ENT department was obviously an expert in his field. He was also compassionate, sympathetic and efficient. I had total confidence in their abilities.
The following day I had to return for conclude the previous treatment. From the receptionist at the main entrance who appeared to be expecting me and to have all the necessary information regarding my treatment, I received excellent service.
I have been amazed at the extremely high levels of dedication, cooperation and team work, competence, consideration and medical care that I have received. I am deeply grateful to the A&E department and all parts of the NHS that were involved, namely, the out-of-hours service and the ambulance service which were reassuring, efficient, competent and quick.
"An excellent service"
