Awful communication. They seem to give you as little information as they can about your condition, treatment, or alternatives. They often don’t seem to understand or answer even basic questions.

I found it impossible to see the experienced, qualified specialist I was referred to. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see an overseas student training to be a doctor who’s in the early stages of learning English, and if you’re very fortunate, you might get a nurse on your lucky case. At least one aggressive nurse with apparent learning difficulties works there, and I found lying, lack of empathy, and lack of responsibility on the part of some medical staff.

My experience was of mistakes routinely made on the medical and administrative sides, of not being allowed to get involved in my own treatment, and neither having the doctors apparently involved.
