"Good experience of continence advisory service"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Continence advisory service

(as the patient),

I attended a group meeting to which we were all given very good advice which I took on board.

My next appointment was an individual consultation again I was made to feel at ease. I had made a good improvement from my 1st visit and now feel as though with the individual advice & reassurance I will probably not need any further treatment, but the option is there should I need it.

Both appointments were also running on time.

Dear carnation. Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on Patient Opinion. I shared your response with the specialist physiotherapist within the team, Jane Appleyard, and she would like to issue the following response;

"Thank you for this positive feedback.

We use the group sessions to give people information about the simple lifestyle changes they can make which often really help to reduce their symptoms. People often say the group session was great as it made them realise how common bladder problems are!

By the time we see people in clinic they are often encouraged by their improvement and are ready to move on to focus on their personal pelvic floor or bladder training programme.

I hope you continue to improve over the next few months and years.

Jane"
