My son, who was diagnosed "obese" attended the Hospital's Clinic for assessment and was recommended for remedial surgery. I accompanied him on 3 occasions for out-patient appointments. I was deeply impressed with both the patient processes and the personal approach of all staff we engaged with.
His surgery was scheduled for last December where he was to have a gastric band fitted. I drove him to the hospital on the morning of the surgery and accompanied him up to the surgical suite, where he was received extremely efficiently but with humanity.
I visited after his surgery and was impressed with the standard of cleanliness and care he received. Having not been involved in the hospital aspect of the NHS for a lot of years, I have nothing but praise for all aspects of his treatment.
I should however state that I was not, and I am guessing in common with lots of people, enamoured by the cost and limitations of parking facilities.
