What I liked
After a really positive experience in A&E the standard of care on the ward was really poor. We arrived to find my 82 year old father in law sat in a puddle of water. He had knocked off his beaker of water and no one had noticed. Despite repeated requests the ward staff did not make sure he drank and ate. He became dehydrated and even more confused. His notes were not updated on one day we were told an agency nurse was looking after him on that day and they didn't know the hospital process'. He was discharged by the doctor but they forgot to tell the physio's. feel sorry or any elderly person who doesn't have family to protect them.
"Scared, dread to think what would have happened if..."
