I have had to be admitted to M1 ward on 2 occasions recently - one as an emergency admission and one planned admission for a hysterectomy. I feel that I was treated with respect, felt that I and my needs mattered, and felt I was important as the patient. I would like to thank Mr Chia and his team, and all of the staff whom I encountered on the ward for their care and attention to me as the patient. With multiple medical problems my thoughts were considered all the way through the process.
One member of staff was the anaethetist (female) who had a lovely bedside manner and I feel that these members of staff are often forgotten in the process when thanks are being given out. Yet I cannot complain about any of the staff on my journey, all were respectful and caring.
My only complaint was I was given slightly different information on discharge times in womens health than the ward meaning my husband had not been prepared for me coming home and had wanted to do a big supermarket shop before my discharge but could not do this. However I cannot complain about my care or the cleanliness of the place.
