"I was offered a professional first rate service..."

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

What I liked

I was referred by my GP and was seen at the hospital the next day. A member of staff gave her lunch hour to see me. Everything was explained well - I had double vision and the two members of staff I saw were extremely helpful and put me at ease. I was fitted with a prism in my spectacles which has helped me to see again normally, especially as it is leading up to Christmas. I felt an excellent service was given despite it being apparent the staff were under pressure to see a high volume of people. I was not rushed - an appropriate amount of time was taken with every care being given. It was explained clearly to me the possible causes of my problem and the length of time it may take to clear. I would recommend the service to anyone and I felt compared to the hospital service I received in another part of the country this was second to none
