"Excellent care despite being under strain"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was admitted to East Surrey Hospital following chest pain and a positive treadmill test. The care given was excellent, and I found the consultant gave information at every stage.

All the necessary checks had been carried out prior to admission and the consultant asked for me to be admitted to AMU to wait for a bed and angiogram on a day that was fraught with difficulty at the trust - Norovirus and stretched to the limit, but somehow they managed to find a bed.

Dear 'sally at surrey'

Thanks for taking teh time to post your comment. This time of year is always challenging in hospitals as we see increased numbers of patients, and especially with so many people in the community with norovirus this year, but despite these pressures I'm pleased to hear you received the treatment and care we expect all our patients to experience.

Many thanks and I wish you well for the future.

Eloise.
