About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital

What I liked

Firstly, the NHS Direct lady who was wonderful at trying to remain me awake and concious as I was passing out over the phone. She organised paramedics who came to my house. The paramedics were brilliant guys, who really took care of me and took me up the the A&E.

There, I was seen extremely fast by doctors, who checked my vitals, etc. The nurses who looked after me were lovely, patient and kind. Thank you so much to them for looking after me during one of the worst times of my my life.

What could be improved

It took the paramedics a long time to get to me, checking my phone I was on there for an hour and 20 mins waiting for them. I understand there were more urgent cases, but I almost gave up on thinking they were coming as the lady on the phone tried her best to keep me concious.

I wish there were more doctors around after late hours to help the nurses. They seemed so overworked, as so many patients needed reviewing, but I think there was only 2 doctors for the whole ward.

Anything else?

Thank you to the lovely NHS direct lady, (I wish I remember her name), the 4 paramedics, doctors and nurses up at Kent hospital.
