What I liked
I had my baby 6 weeks early and although this was quite a shock the staff were excellent. They explained everything to my husband and I very clearly and at no point did we feel unsupported. Fortunately the staff were well trained and spotted our baby was in distress and extra support appeared immediately. Throughout I felt my dignity was maintained - if that's possible with a room full of people! After having an episiotomy the care on the transitional ward continued at a high level and the staff were lovely - giving plenty of advice and support for someone who didn't have her baby with her. I continued to visit the transitional ward for follow ups after going home as our baby was still in hospital and the staff were always ready to answer any questions and provide support. Thankyou for all your excellent care.
What could be improved
The only disadvantage was having to wait a long time for an avaliable bed in the ward but I was aware that this was due to the hospital being extremely busy so there's not anything else that could be done.
"Excellent service and staff that have brilliant..."
