What I liked

I underwent a surgical operation at Darent Valley Hospital to remove a defective gall-bladder and the nature of the surgery necessitated just a 24-hour stay in the hospital’s day care unit following the procedure.

Throughout my time at the hospital I was treated in a friendly and professional manner by every member of staff with whom I came in contact: from the surgical admissions unit, to the operating theatre’s waiting area and, finally, the day care unit.

The excellence of care was never determined by the rank or function of the staff member attending me. At each stage of my treatment I received the utmost respect and was made to feel valued. Moreover, my recovery is proving rapid and trouble-free.

What could be improved

Nothing
