What I liked

exceptional treatment from outpatient appointments to pre-op assessment to surgery to post-op care in Ward 1 and final post-op check-up - all staff including doctors, nurses, healthcare workers to cleaners to porters and X-Ray staff - at every stage could not fault care - also food was of very good quality - very impressed

What could be improved

only improvement would be more thought about staff nurses who never left on time after handovers and were obviously extremely busy and probably stressed

Dear Mrs Preen – thank you for taking the time and trouble to post your positive comments about the care you received on your patient journey from the staff in the Neurosciences, Radiology and other hospital directorates. I understand several actions are in hand to ensure that through new practices such as the “productive ward initiative” efficiencies are achieved to provide additional time for all nursing staff to spend caring for patients.

I have passed on your comments to all the areas concerned so the staff can be made aware and I have also passed them on to the Director of Nursing.
