"Excellent hospital and the nurses are superb."

What I liked

I had a little trouble parking because it was very busy but there was people directing cars where to park, so that was excellent.

I have hyperthyroidism and this was my first visit to this department, I had to self check in, which in my opinion is great and very easy to do.

The nurses there was absolutely brilliant, and they made me feel very comfortable when they called me through to be weighed. I have social anxiety (which they didn't know of course) and they have no idea how happy they made me feel. I struggle in situations like that, and even though they didn't know I have SA they really made me feel at ease.

The doctor I saw was excellent in explaining my condition.

What could be improved

I feel like the doctor I saw didn't really care what I thought. They didn't ask me what I thought and basically they've told me to have something done, which I don't seem to have a choice in. They never asked me if I wanted to have it. My social anxiety restricts me.

And another thing that really put me off, was that a nurse was in the room with us. I never had that in my last hospital. It was very off putting because they were in and out all the time, the doctor was explaining something and the nurse would go out then come back in, then go out and come back in again, it was very annoying.

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but I feel that the doctor didn't give me a choice. It was like "your having this done, and that's that" kind of attitude.
