What I liked
I was very impressed by the enthusiasm and eagerness to learn of the junior doctors who treated me in the Medical Assessment Ward (MAU). Both they and their senior doctor were at all times professional and treated me with dignity and respect. The experience of being in hospital for over nine hours was made more bearable by the commitment and friendliness of consultants and staff who helped and treated me throughout the day.
What could be improved
The only thing that on reflection could have been improved was the fact that I was in hospital for a clonidine suppression test and when it came to the point where I was ready to receive the clonidine pills, there was a bit of a delay waiting for the pills to arrive. I do not know how the system works but I do know that staff will have been under a lot of pressure treating other patients as well as myself. However, I feel that had the pill been available sooner it could have shortened the length of my stay in hospital.
Anything else?
All staff who helped and treated me were a credit to St. Peter's Hospital and I would like to praise and commend their excellent work.
"The brilliant staff made lengthy hospital visit..."
