"Excellent and reassuring service by caring..."

About: St Helier Hospital

What I liked

I came to A&E with bleeding (suspected miscarriage). I was seen promptly by two very nice triage nurses and then moved to the brand new womens health room. It was clean and well equipped, except it had no bin.

A lovely doctor was assigned to me (as she was the only woman) and she was kind, caring and made me feel relaxed (as much as you can in that situation). She did blood tests, bp tests etc to check me but couldn't scan the baby. I was there 4 and a bit hours before being discharged with the all clear and instruction to return to the epau the following day.

Felt well cared for by her and the 2 nurses who I was seen by.

What could be improved

The only complaint was that people kept coming into the room as it was all new (grand reopening which I was privileged to be the first to use) and they couldn't find anything. Nothing major though and I generally felt very well cared for.

Anything else?

My follow up scan showed everything was ok.
