"My stay as a patient at Wrightington Hospital"

About: Wrightington Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

The reason for my stay, was to have a complete right knee replacement.

From being admitted to being discharged, every member of staff I had contact with was caring courteous helpful and understanding. The staff on the admission and recovery wards, the theatre staff, the anaesthetist and the surgeon Mr Oakley, who personally took the time to ring my wife to say the operation had gone well.

And last but not least the porters and xray staff who each and everyone were brilliant.

A very special mention to all the staff on ward 6 who were really exceptional. Having spent a few day on that ward I saw first hand how dedicated and hard working, in some difficult situations they were.
