"chaplain service should hold faith services"

About: Inpatient mental health care / Working age adult acute wards

(as the patient),

Would like to hope the chaplain service should hold faith services on a regular basis. Since I think that faith helps with mental health. I am concerned that there does not seem to be a faith service at St. Andrews in Wells. I do hope I receive a reply to this.

Dear Junction 437

Thank you for taking the time to contact Patient Opinion to share your concern.

I am pleased to provide you with the following response from the Head of Patient and Public Involvment.

The Chaplain visits St Andrews each week, and is always happy to provide an act of Christian worship for any patient who would like this, so please talk to the chaplain, or any other member of staff about your wishes. Communion is also available to patients who would otherwise attend their own church. The needs of members of other faiths are also met.

A Carol Service will take place at St Andrews on Friday 21 December, and I hope you will be able to go along.

Thanks

Judith Smith
