"Lack of a diagnosis or a plan"

About: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Working age mental health care (community)

(as the patient),

While the person I see from the community mental health team seems to be a nice enough person, I feel that sometimes she says things that are very inconsiderate without thinking.

I don't know anything about what we are supposed to be doing in the appointments or where it leads. I don't have a diagnosis or know if we are working toward one. I haven't a clue as to what is going on.

When I tried to broach the subject it was dismissed offhand.

Response from Rachael Kenny, PALS and PPI Manager, Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

I am sorry that you are left feeling confused after appointments and that you have not received a helpful answer when you have tried to sort things out. The purpose and the goals of the work the trust does with people who use our services should be clear.

I suggest that you speak with one of the trust's Service experience team who will be able to find out more with you - you can call them on 01903 843026

or email, service.experience@sussexpartnership.nhs.uk

I will also let them know about your comment so that they are up to date

kind regards

Rachael Kenny
