My husband was a patient in Buckland Ward for over two months recently. During this time we were so impressed by the care and dedication of the staff. The nurses cared for all the patients, whether old or young, with efficiency and humour and even when a patient was being difficult never lost their cool, not an easy task!
It is a very special ward, with an excellent atmosphere and in our view run extremely well often under great pressure as renal patients are often seriously ill.
The food was much better than in the rest of the hospital as the ward is trialling a new menu which gives patients a much bigger choice.
So thank you to all doctors and nurses in Buckland!
