The care I received as an in patient for a laparoscopic unilateral salpingo oophorectomy on Ward 40 was absolutely outstanding.
The only experience I have had of NHS hospitals over the last few years has been our local hospital, which I can only describe as dire. I really thought that moral and standards were that low within the NHS that all hospitals were the same. I could not have been more wrong!
Every single person I came into contact with from the Nursing staff, anaesthetist, consultant, doctors to the cleaning staff were extremely polite, friendly and treated me with the utmost respect.
Having never had a general anaesthetic before, I was extremely nervous. Everyone involved went out of their way to ensure I was informed and comfortable. The consultant was skilled and I sit here three days on, at home, in hardly any discomfort with minimal scars! I am very impressed.
Thank you to everyone involved, but particularly the nursing staff. You are all very special and have restored my faith in the NHS.
"You have restored my faith in the NHS!"
