There is a GP Practice in Beddau, Rhondda Cynon Taff, which is also part of the Talbot Green Practice. Over the last year the Beddau Practice opening times have changed from nearly 5 days a week at 8. 30am - 1. 00pm and 2. 00pm -6. 00pm to all day on a Monday and half days on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
I vaguely remember the press reported that the government were going to introduce longer GP opening times, even considering opening on weekends. Yet this surgery are reducing its access times to patients and referring patients to its other over-used Talbot Green Practice 3 miles away which cannot deal with this increased burden.
