What I liked
I was referred to A&E by the walk-in nurse and doctor. I was very impressed by how thorough and conscientious every nurse and doctor was that I dealt with. Information was passed on well between members of staff - and I saw several nurses and doctors while I was there.
I was transferred to a ward and stayed over night until tests had been completed. The ward was extremely clean, well staffed and everyone was friendly, kind and courteous. Processes were followed with precision by each different nurse.
It took a while to have my diagnosis confirmed, but I would much rather know that my symptoms were being investigated thoroughly and carefully, rather than speedily!
Doctors I dealt with, both in A&E and on the ward, were extremely helpful, answering questions I had and ensuring I understood my diagnosis and its implications.
I would definitely recommend the MRI. All the staff I dealt with seemed to be doing a meticulous job, cheerfully and despite being extremely busy.
"Excellent staff - thorough, precise and caring..."
