What I liked
Torbay Hospital don't always get it right, but when they do they deserve recognition. My wife had a Lucentis Eye injection which resulted in scaring to the surface of the eye. On asking to see an Eye Specialist urgently, whilst initially refused I managed to cointact a Duty Manager who organised everything and understood the urgency. We saw an Eye Doctor within 4 hours and a follow up appointment was made and we were seen on time and treated with respect.
Well done.
What could be improved
An understanding that when something goes wrong the last thing a patient wishes to do is sit in an A&E Dept for several hours.
Anything else?
The clinical side of Torbay Hospital is excellent. The Admin does still require some work to reduce delays and waiting times.
