"Doctors neglecting to properly diagnose pTients"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

My mother a Mrs Pearl Spink was on Saturday the 17/11/2012 diagnosed in A&E as having fractured her hip , on admission to the ward (Amber A) she was then re diagnosed with a fractured pelvis .Today the 22/11/2012 a fractured hip was found on rediagnosis that means if the Doctor in A&E had been believed mum would not have had to suffer for five days not a good way to treat a 92 year old

Dear Mrs Metcalf,

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments about your mother’s experience in the Emergency Department at Queen’s Hospital. I was sorry to learn of your concerns.

I am aware that you raised these concerns with our PALs office. However, if you would like us to investigate the matter further please contact the Complaints Team via email complaints@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk, and they will be happy to help.

Yours sincerely,

Gary Etheridge
