"awful - degrading - never to be repeated"

About: St Helier Hospital

What could be improved

Doctors understanding that not every one is text book - if a pain is not exactly as described in the book - it does not mean that it is not there or is not important - The doctor needs to listen to their patients and understand they know their bodies - The doctor sent me home saying i had indigestion - i had an infected gall bladder and after a few days blood poisoning - another Dr sent me home saying i needed my gp to arrange a CT scan - when i was brought back 2 hours later i had the blood poisening

Listen - understand what the patient is saying - they know if something is wrong - specially when a friend of theirs is a surgeon and has already diagnosed the problem - listen, explain and act on what the patient is sayin

Anything else?

It took from June to the end of september to diagnose a gall stone the size of an egg blocking the gall bladder, it was so bad they had to leave in the back half of the gall bladder as it was so fused to the liver it would cause more damage to take out - the nurses on the ward after were awful - spiteful to patients - the food was abysmal for people with gastro problems - i lost a stone in weight in 5 days of being there - get a grip and sort this hospital out.
