"I could not have asked for a better, friendlier..."

About: Cannock Chase Hospital

What I liked

After severing a nerve in my left index finger on Tuesday I was rushed to Stafford A&E. They scheduled me to meet the Consultant Hand Surgeon first thing on Wednesday morning and was scheduled for surgery at Cannock Chase first thing Friday morning (unfortunately the Consultant was unavoidably delayed and the surgery had to be postponed to the following Friday).

The staff were as friendly as they were professional. I was there on my own and they kept me feeling at ease the whole time. They talked me through the whole procedure and gave me advice on recovery.

Having had a very bad surgery experience in my teens (in Sussex) I was really nervous, but I can honestly say that I felt I was given the best of care.

If you're ever unlucky enough to find yourself in my boat then feel assured that they'll take good care of you!

Anything else?

I was particularly impressed with how clean the ward was, and how regularly it was being cleaned both times I was there.

Dear Mr. Brown,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback following your recent accident which required treatment at Cannock hospital. I am delighted that you had a positive experience during what must have been a very painful time. I have shared your comments with the staff concerned, including the cleaning team who have always worked very hard to ensure the hospital maintains its high standards.

I hope your finger is healing well.

Kind Regards

Angela Grocott
