What I liked
I had a mammogram at a mobile unit that caused some concern. I was called on a Friday with the offer of an appointment to attend the Breast Care Unit at the Great Western hospital on the Monday at 9.10 am. The receptionist was vey efficient and friendly. The radiographer was again professional but kind, gently and respectful. After a mammogram I had an ultrasound, and at all times what was being done was explained to me. I then had liquid taken from the cyst that was causing concern and finally had another mamogram. The doctor then assured me that all was well. I left the unit at 10am and was able to go to work with all fears banished. The doctor and their team are excellent. The environment welcoming and the privacy and dignity practices exemplary. What an excellent NHS service women of Swindon have!
