In July my General Practioner referred me for a hospital consultation and I made the error of selecting General Surgery at Burnely General Hospital. At my referal my case required the view of another department in the hospital and after three months I am still waiting.

I have sent two letters to the consultant seeking a response. The second letter was sent by Special Delivery but both letters have been ignored. It was really hard to find the money to pay for Special Delivery for the second letter as I have been made redundant and am now on Job Seekers Allowance.

I would not recommend General Surgery at Burnley. I am going back to see my General Practioner to see whether I can be re-referred to another hospital then I am shall be writing to my MP and going to the newspapers so that other local residents are awate of the dreadful service at Burnley.
