"Very unhappy"

About: Huddersfield Royal Infirmary

What could be improved

I have visited my GP today due to concerns regarding a lump in my breast. He referred me to the breast clinic stating that I should be seen within 10 working days. I could not get an appointment within this time scale as no appointments were available. The person on the appointment line did not know when new appointments would be released and said I would receive something through the post after November 27th. So despite seeing my GP as soon as I found a suspicious lump I can not get it reviewed by a specialist for at least another 2 weeks. That is 2 weeks of worry, concern and the unknown. I can do nothing but accept this poor service which contradicts guidance given in the NHS constitution.
