"Differing levels of care in wards at Stepping Hill"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as the patient),

I was taken in by ambulance in excruciating pain, and staff in A&E although extremely busy were kind and attentive and I was kept in on an A&E assessment ward, where the level of care couldn't be faulted.

The next morning I was moved to A3, which is where it went downhill. The ward was an absolute tip and extremely dirty, the I met nursing staff did not seem to be interested at all, with one really loud nurse who everyone seemed to be terrified of and even started to argue with a doctor doing his rounds. Couldn't get out of there quick enough.
