My mam very sadly passed away in November 2012 due to a pulmonary embolism.
She had to wait two whole hours the day before, in the back of a freezing cold ambulance, before even being taken into the A&E department to be seen by a doctor. Even the ambulance driver deemed this unacceptable.
I am so very angry, upset and deeply affected by the thought that if she had been seen straight away her death may have been avoided. I consider this to be of sub standard care by Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, North Wales.
Seeing her in the back of that ambulance will haunt me for the rest of my life. I will be taking this further, I feel it is my duty to do so.
