"Doctor Referrals"

About: Hampshire PCT

(as the patient),

Irritated eyes, referred by locum to eye specialist, who diagnosed Blepharitis which I was told commonly affects 30% of public, all ages, types.

Specialist told me special cleaning procedure, and prescribed antibiotic eyecream.

Two trips by bus for elderly, seems like a waste of professionals' time, so why couldn't the doctor have prescribed this in the first place, which would have saved everyone's time, energy and money?
