"Good care at Tameside"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I was a patient at the Tameside General hospital as I was suffering with a headache and nausea. The standard of care which I received was good.

When I moved wards from the Medical Assessment Unit to ward 43, my dress and bra were not moved with me. Next day, I had no day clothes. Enquiries were made but my clothes did not turn up.

Thank you for your kind comments about your care and treatment at Tameside General Hospital. I am pleased to note that the standard of care you received was good on the MAU and ward 43, and will make sure your comments are passed on to the wards you have mentioned. I am very sorry to learn that your clothing were not moved with you when you changed wards. I trust that the ward staff advised you of the procedures we follow in such circumstances. You may like to know that you can nominate staff who have given exceptionally good service for our “Show you care for those who care” or “Above and Beyond” awards. Details of both awards, as well as entry forms, are available on the hospital website and click on “Patient Information”.
