(as the patient),

I have just been in hospital for surgery for bowel cancer.

My stay was in Copthorne ward. It was my first stay in hospital and the care I received was first class.

I cannot thank the nurses enough, they made my stay very calm and relaxed.

I am sorry to hear about your surgery for bowel cancer, but I am pleased to hear that the staff at East Surrey Hospital managed to make you as comfortable as possible and that you received the level of care and support you most definitely need at this worrying time. I'm glad we made a difficult experience for you as pleasant as possible.
