Deaf Awareness training

(as the patient),

I have been a patient in two hospitals during the past year in Kent. I am deaf and cannot communicate without a hearing aid.

I was surprised to find that in both hospitals Deaf Awareness did not feature in the standard Training Programme in either hospitals. This proved to be a major problem for me at night when I had to remove my hearing aids

Why is this aspect ignored by many Kent Hospitals?
