"excellent care for patients but less so for..."

What I liked

My husbanc was admitted to ward c5 via a and e the care he received was second to none In prticular the nursing service was exceptional the staff were professional and caring despite long shifts and a coupleof very difficult patients one of whom was both verbally and physically abusive .Both the nursing and medical staff did their very best to alliviate a difficult and stressful time for both my husband and myself and we are both exceedingly grateful.

What could be improved

The splitt visiting was very difficult as the unit covers both bury and oldhamI I appreciate the nursing staff needed time to undertake their duties but I had problems getting home and back afer afternoon visiting in time for evening.The signage in the hospital was confusing and inadequate and the parking machines only took coins not notes or credit or debit cards.
