What I liked
It was my first operation so I was very nervous but the place was so modern, clean and neat that it relaxed me a little bit and made me feel confident. Every member of staff I met from the entrance to the Day Surgery Unit, from the receptionist to the surgeon, was friendly, professional and caring. I felt welcomed and looked after.
I was scared about the general anaesthesia more than the removal of my wisdom teeth itself but everything went perfectly well. I didn't feel the needle in my hand for the IV as they put some numbing cream before, then while I was breathing gas in the oxygen mask the nurse and the anaesthesist were chatting with me, I laughed a bit and then I woke up. Everything was done. No pain, no swelling, I was feeling really glad. They gave me a pack of medications to go home, so I didn't even need to go to a chemist or pay for it, it was great.
An hour later I was even taking the tube to go home! (I thought I would have had to take a taxi but I was feeling well enough to go home by the tube!).
Now it has been two weeks since I had my three wisdom teeth removed and I didn't have any infection, no need for a follow-up appointment and my mouth healed very well. I don't feel anything and while I was recovering I didn't experience any swelling or bruising!
What could be improved
Honestly, nothing, everything was perfect!
Anything else?
This first experience makes me feel less anxious about surgery or anaesthesia as everything went so well I can't thank them enough. I highly recommend this place, the staff of the Day Surgery Unit was top!
