What I liked

Bright hospital and never too crowded as we go for out patient appointments.

What could be improved

Car park fees should be removed as we do not know where the monies go.

Constant Questionaires not up to the point and very orientated to see hospital as good (not much chance to choose between multiple (more than 1) answers. I think that nurses should have better things to do than that.

Doctors "know it all" are a bit of a nuisance (some of them)

Thank you, Mrs Bristow, for taking the trouble to post your feedback about our hospital. We welcome all feedback and would like to assure you that all comments are taken seriously and acted upon as part of our ongoing commitment to improving patient experience.

The income from parking charges goes towards maintaining the car parks and carrying out necessary works when needed. The money is also used to deliver a security service to the car parks including security officers and 24-hour monitored CCTV. Car parking charges are an integral part of the payment mechanism for the delivery of these services.

Our patient surveys are an important way to find out directly from patients the things we are good at and the things that can be improved to benefit all patients. There are a number of ways they can give us their feedback, including our Friends and Family surveys which patients are asked to complete just before they are discharged from hospital. Comment cards, longer multiple choice surveys and, indeed, this website also give us useful insight into way patients experience their care at our hospitals. Taking part in surveys is entirely voluntary but we really do appreciate patients’ time in giving us their valuable feedback.

We rely on our doctors to know their specialty inside out so they can give their patients the most appropriate care but we always encourage patients to be involved in decisions about their care and treatment.

Your comments are important to us and we have passed them on to the senior team in charge of parking charges and patient surveys.
