I was referred to the Womens' Health Unit for an operation to remove my ovaries and some ovarian cysts. My operation was on a Wednesday and I stayed until the Sunday.
I couldn't be more impressed with the standard of care and the cleanliness of the unit. From the nursing staff to the domestic staff they could not have been more helpful and caring.
It was an eye opener from previous visits over the years and from negative press reports of the EDGH.
The happy lady who kept the unit spotless (even cleaning the tops of the internal windows and curtain rails round the beds) and also brought the tea trolley was exceptional.
All of the nurses were sympathetic and caring.
