I had an operation which was supposed to remove a kidney stone; there was some possibility that if they couldn't reach the kidney, they would have to insert a stent, which is what actually happened.
The first appointment I had, the consultant said that in such a case, the stent would be removed "a month later" and the operation finished.
When they actually inserted the stent, I was told that they would get me back in "within 2 months. "
I have had horrific pain, bleeding, infections, 5 different antibiotics, and all I can do is keep going to my GPs, who don't know what to do, as nothing they give me helps.
I really feel as though I've been left with no support and a thoroughly miserable life. My operation is set to be 11 weeks after the original surgery. Why did no one ever tell me the truth initially and why are they ignoring me now and not giving me any help?
