Two years ago I was referred to the pain clinic. I have a prolapsed disc and I wanted a epidural injection in my spine which on a previous occasion had given me some relief.
A doctor administered this. He struck the bone once and a nerve twice and eventually placed the injection in the wrong place. Immediately after this process I complained of a numbness in my right leg.
The date of the procedure was May 2011 and I still have numbness. Additionally now I notice that I am losing muscle in my leg and there is gradual weakening.
I have complained about this to NHS and also to the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman. They have concluded that I have been unfortunate.
"Pain clinic."
