What I liked
i was unexpectedly admitted to the james mackenzie ward during june this year.if anybody has the misfortune to be admitted to hospital with a heart problem - then i cannot imagine there could be any other ward that could be better than this one.
the ward was spotlessly clean, the beds and equipment seemed modern and the care and attention i received from the doctors and nurses could not have been better -- even if a doctor or nurse was off duty , when they went past my bed they would still stop and ask how i was progressing.the people that cleaned the ward were very friendly and seemed happy with their job and the man that served us tea and coffee was a tonic on his own.i have since been back to basildon hospital for check ups and i am sure thanks to the treatment i recieved i have made a good recovery.
What could be improved
there was a disruptive patient when i was in the ward and do not think the staff recieved enough support from the security section
"excellent care"
