Last Tuesday I had my final check up with my Physiotherapist Cait at Newton Cottage Hospital. I have had numerous sessions with Cait to help with pain that I suffer with due to arthritis in my hip and osteoporosis in my spine.
I was referred to physiotherapy through self referral through my GP as I was struggling to cope with the pain, I thought that it might be useful to have physiotherapy as an alternative to surgery.
Cait has given me exercises to do which I do 3 times daily- and these exercises have really helped with the pain and my comfort.
I really have appreciated Cait's advice, she made me feel comfortable and listened to me.
I am aware that eventually I will need a hip replacement, but feel happy that this therapy has helped for now.
Thank you to all the staff involved.
