What I liked
Clinical services
What could be improved
Management/administration
Anything else?
On the morning of 10th August I was taken into A&E after a stroke. A real stroke & not a TIA but fortunately not too severe so I was discharged later in the day. The discharge note stated that I would be seen by a stroke consultant in 6-8 weeks. 10 weeks later & I have heard nothing though the stroke symptoms are worse. My GP recently discovered that the referral had either not been made, not been received or simply lost. The hospital website boasts about its stroke service. Nine years ago when I had a stroke this boast was justified since my treatment was exemplary. This time the boast looks like a sick joke since my treatment was non-existent.
I know from recent experience that complaining is a complete waste of time. While the clinical staff at the RSCH are excellent, the managers/administrators are not.
"Clinical service good. Management/administration..."
