"appointment at E.N.T. was delayed and caused stress "

About: Torbay Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as the patient),

I was given an appointment originally to see an E. N. T. doctor. This was changed from 3pm to 2. 30 pm, and an appointment was given for a hearing test at 2. 10pm. The hearing test was on time. I came out from there at 2. 30pm and expected to be called soon. When it got to 3. 00pm I thought I had been forgotten about so went back to reception. The receptionist contacted a nurse who said I would be called soon. They had been waiting for my hearing test results.

While I understand this was needed I felt that had I been told of the delay I would have been less stressed. I saw a doctor at 3. 10pm and both he and the attendant nurse were very professional and kind. I couldn't fault the staff or the attention I was given. Perhaps more communication would help.
